> Board Member Welcome: The Board of Directors welcomes our newest membe, Mr. Steve Heethuis. Steve began in April and we are grateful for his commitment and service. There are currently 2 open seats on the Board if you should ever feel a call to serve. Let us know of your interest and we'll put you in touch with our Board President, Jim Deur.
> Grant Received: Thank you to the Portland Community Fund for recognizing the work of Beacon of Hope in their community. We are thankful for the grant of $1,500!
> Pantry in Great Need: Currently our pantry shelves are quite bare, which makes it difficult for us to give food to those clients experiencing this need. Would you consider picking up some extra supplies and helping re-stock our shelves for the summer months? Here's what we need: Canned Pasta Sauce, Mac-n-Cheese, Pork-n-Beans, Peanut Butter, Canned Fruit, Canned Veggies & Canned Soups
> Small Group Challenge: Pick an item or two off of our Pantry needs list and challenge another gropu or factory line, department or church to see who can bring in the most of that item. This can be a fun competition, the winner has bragging rights, but most of all, our clients benefit. Let us know how you are putting together your challenge!
> Thank you!: Thank you to Jackie Sietsema & her 6th graders at Hudsonville Christian Middle School. Ms. Sietsema's class challenged the school to bring in food items for our pantry. We are so thankful for these great kids! They gathered the items, delivered them and also placed them on our shelves. We are so blessed!
> Local Mission of the Month: Thank you to Faith Reformed Church in Zeeland for choosing BoH as their ministry for the month of May. A special offering will be taken for the benefit of our counseling programs. Thank you!
